The City of Elliot Lake has been successful in filling the Director of Finance role and will welcome the new treasurer, Andrew Ault this spring.
According to the release, Ault brings a wealth of expertise in finance, management, and strategic oversight.
Currently completing his PhD in Finance at Carleton University, with his research focusing on innovative methodologies in financial economics, he will take on the new city position on April 14th.
Officials say he has also held roles in consulting, teaching, and healthcare finance, where he developed strategic plans and led feasibility studies for municipalities, Indigenous groups, and private sector projects.
