The federal government has reached agreements with nearly two dozen Ontario communities, including Espanola and Greater Sudbury, to accelerate housing construction.
All told, over 42-hundred homes will be built in 23 communities over the next three years.
Officials say 138-million dollars is being provided to eliminate barriers to building much-needed homes faster.
There aren’t any specifics on the funding as yet.

The feds say action plans are required by communities to tap into the money from the Housing Accelerator Fund, with subsequent payments after results are delivered.
Across Canada, officials say the fund is cutting red tape and fast-tracking at least 112-thousand new homes by 2028.
