An apartment fire last week in Elliot Lake has been determined to be accidental.
Elliot Lake Fire Chief John Thomas says the investigation of the apartment complex fire at 22-24 Hirshhorn Avenue determined that the ignition source was a result of hot works being conducted in an apartment unit.
Thomas adds the estimated dollar loss is around six million dollars.
