Espanola’s Zee Jays Men’s Slo-Pitch team finished off their season with an excellent finish at the Men’s Ontario Provincial Championship in Hamilton this past weekend.
Team spokesperson Matthew Gibson says there has been a Zee Jays team since 2012 with them playing against nine other teams throughout the regular season in A and B divisions.
He says the team has won the A division the last eight years in a row and has gone to the provincials for the last eight years finally taking a second place finish this past weekend against another team called Full Throttle.
Gibson adds the win was a great way to close off their 2023 season.
