Cameron Walker of the Greater Sudbury Cubs provided a goal to lift his side to a 2-1 triumph over the Espanola Paper Kings on Monday evening in Game 4 of their semi-final game in Espanola.
The Cubs now lead the best-of-seven set 3-1 with the next game this Thursday at 7:30 in Sudbury.
Meanwhile, the Soo Thunderbirds had a 4-1 victory over the Blind River Beavers Monday night in the third game of their division semi-final at John Rhodes Community Centre.
Game 4 goes Wednesday night at 7 pm in the Soo.
