One of the highest honours in Catholic education has been awarded to a long-time advocate.
Paul Henry, Director of Education and Secretary-Treasurer at the CSC Nouvelon, says the board is proud to announce that André Bidal has been awarded the Catholic Education Award of Excellence.
Henry says the award recognizes Bidals’ contributions to French-language Catholic education in Northern Ontario adding he has served as a trustee since 2000 and filled the vice-chair and chair position over several terms.
Henry adds for almost 45 years, Bidal has also been an active parent and defender of the interests of Franco-Ontarian parents.
He adds this award is one of the highest that can be presented to anyone within the education sector and Bidal is an ideal recipient.
