McKerrow woman hosting first art show

The pandemic led to many individuals trying new activities and for one local area woman that led to the creation of over 1,000 ‘Kindness’ gifts and her first art show.

Rosalyn Andress of McKerrow started out painting rocks back in the summer of 2019 and says she has now given away over a 1,000 of the gifts with her latest venture being kindness spoons painted with flowers and positive messaging.

Andress adds in turn the public has been so supportive and she is looking forward to sharing her creations with the wider community

Self-taught, she adds the pandemic has also led her to produce several photographs and drawings over the last year, which will be put on display at her first art show in Espanola at the end of the month.

The art show will be held at the DFR Eatery on Sunday, August 29th from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
