Elliot Lake OPP have charged a local man with murder following the death of a woman at a residence late last week.
The OPP was called out to a disturbance at a residence on Valley Crescent in Elliot Lake on Thursday, November 15th.
Following a stand-off, a man eventually gave himself up to police.
Following their investigation, 64-year-old Wayne McLeod of Elliot Lake was charged with first degree murder.

Diane McLeod, 67-years-old, was found deceased in the home.
The accused has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance in Sault Ste. Marie court on November 29th.
A publication ban has been imposed by the court and no further details will be released.
