The Manitoulin Centennial Manor is receiving funding from the province of Ontario.
The announcement made last Friday, states new funding is being provided for all nursing homes in Ontario, which currently have 64 beds or less.
As of July 1st, the manor will receive funding for falls prevention equipment, which will include $100 per licensed bed and annual funding of $6,000.
The registered nurse funding is also being annualized, so also as of July 1st, $106,000 is being provided to create a new RN full-time equivalent position.
Back on April 1st, the government announced supplementary funding for RPNs of around $69,500.
