The Rainbow District School Board didn’t have much to say about the unsafe school findings by Espanola’s building inspector.
Last Thursday, building inspector, Dan Rivet, posted documents ordering several studies: complete structural, mechanical, engineering and architectural reports of the former AB Ellis PS building.
Sacred Heart is leasing the property for the next two years while a new school is built in Espanola.
The Rainbow Board owns the building.
Rainbow Board Director of Education, Norm Blaseg, says the board has a lease agreement with the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board for the use of the building.
He adds, the board will abide by the lease agreement and will continue to dialogue directly with senior staff from the Huron-Superior Catholic board.
The Catholic Board wants to talk directly to the building inspector.
The Moose is also waiting for an official response from the town.
