Espanola High School In The Pink Today

Espanola High School students will be wearing pink today as part of a national campaign supporting anti-bullying strategies.

Teacher and co-organizer, Jayson Stewart, says wearing the pink is significant and it is an international campaign.

Stewart says wearing the pink is significant in sending a message to support those who are being bullied, especially those who are part of the LGBTQ youth.

Stewart adds students are being encouraged to wear anything pink, it does not have to be a shirt, but something predominately that colour.

He adds students are encouraged to talk among themselves and also seek help from counsellors and staff if they feel they are being bullied.
