Saskatchewan vigil held in Sudbury – NOJHL plans memorial

Canadians continue to support the victims of the Saskatchewan bus crash where several players and supporters of the Humboldt Broncos were killed.

The town of Humboldt, Saskatchewan lost 15 people, mostly players between 16 and 21, and more than a dozen injured.

The community also grieves for Broncos captain Logan Schutz, coaches Darcy Haugun and Mark Cross, the team’s statistician, radio play-by-play announcer and the driver of the bus.

A vigil attended by hundreds was held at the Sudbury arena last night to coincide with the vigil being held in Homboldt.

Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League Commissioner Robert Mazzuca says the league will be holding memorials at their play-off games this week.

And a gofund me site has been set up to assist the families.
