The 11th annual Elliot Lake Ice Fishing Derby was a phenomenal success with nearly 500 people registered. The grand prize winner was Ron Nadon of Elliot Lake who reeled in a 27 inch pike to nail a prize worth nearly $25,000. Mayor Dan Marchisella was pleased with the turn-out for the event which saw more than 200 fish caught for the tourney.
