This year marks the 10th year that the Joan Mantle Music Trust distributed funding to secondary school music programs in the Rainbow District School Board, including Espanola High.
Espanola High School, Confederation Secondary School and Sudbury Secondary School will receive funds and equipment this year.
“There is an ongoing need to revitalize music programs in our schools and we would like to thank all donors for their support,” said Director of Education Norm Blaseg.
The money raised comes from individual, corporate donations and special events.
Donations of musical instruments including woodwind and brass instruments, guitars, drum sets and pianos have also been made.
