Cochrane is the only town in Northern Ontario to have made the list of Canada’s top 50 small towns. Cochrane was also recently named one of the 15 cutest places in Ontario by NAR-Toronto tourism. They are the only community in Ontario with a free bike sharing program.
Other attractions include having pop up pianos randomly left outside for the public to use or having the world’s only captive bear facility dedicated to Polar bears. As the host community for the 2016 snowmobile summit Cochrane and district will be one of the most popular destinations for snowmobilers as well.
