The Municipality of Huron Shores is putting rumours to rest about a possible amalgamation with the Town of Thessalon.
Huron Shores council has released a public statement stating they have no plans to amalgamate.
The council states no discussions on the subject have taken place, nor is it something the Council is considering at this time.
The council adds that the municipality is committed to serving the community independently while it continues to explore opportunities for collaboration on shared services and efficiencies where it makes sense.
