One person charged with accessory to murder

East Algoma OPP has charged a Sudbury man in connection with the death of another Sudbury man, which occurred on St. Joseph Island.

Acting Sergeant Michelle Simard say on the afternoon of January 6th, 2025, officers responded to a report of a deceased person that was located in the vicinity of P Line Road, in Jocelyn Township.

She says investigation has led to the arrest of a 49-year-old from Sudbury who is facing charges of being an accessory after the fact to murder and indignity to a dead body.

Simard adds the accused remains in custody and is to appear in Sudbury Court on January 30th.

She adds the investigation is on-going.
