The Soo Eagles ended the Blind River Beavers 17-game winning streak temporarily thanks to a 5-1 home win on Saturday night at the Pullar Stadium.
It was a double-win weekend for the Eagles who defeated the Elliot Lake Vikings 6-1 the night before.
The Powassan Voodoos cruised to a 5-0 win over the Espanola Paper Kings at the Espanola Regional Recreational Complex on Friday night.
However, the Paper Kings broke out of a two-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the French River Rapids at the Noelville Arena on Saturday.
And, the Beavers came back for another win Sunday afternoon defeating the Soo Thunderbirds 5-2 on home ice.
