It was not a good weekend for the Elliot Lake Vikings.

A tally in the fourth round of a shootout capped off a late rally as the Soo Thunderbirds stormed back to defeat the Elliot Lake Vikings 4-3 in Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League action Sunday at John Rhodes Community Centre.

The day before, the Soo Eagles edged the Vikings 3-2 at the Massey & District Community Arena.

The Timmins Rock pulled out a 5-4 victory over the Espanola Paper Kings at McIntyre Arena on Sunday.
