Around 100 people attended a candlelight vigil last night to mark the passing of an Espanola teen.
Northern Life Youth Group, which 19-year-old Jordan Marinier had been a part of in his earlier years, organized the vigil.
One of their leaders Doug Bois led with a prayer followed by Espanola Mayor Doug Gervais offering his condolences and words of support to Marinier’s family and friends.
Marinier died in a fatal motor collision in Massey on Monday.
People in attendance also heard of his activism as a sea cadet and at his former high school.
The flags have been at half-mast all this week in memory of Marinier and 17-year-old Abigail (Abby) Gignac who also passed away in the collision between a pickup and a commercial transport vehicle.
Three other people remain in hospital in stable condition.
