The Espanola Lions Club hopes that $7,100 will help the 156 keen hockey players, over 24 coach volunteers, and the supportive executive of Espanola Minor Hockey.
Lions spokesperson Grant Lewis says thanks to the sale of Catch the Ace and donation to the club, the league will be able to defer the costs of referees, ice-time, jerseys and banners.
The cheque presentation took place last week.
