Ontario Provincial Police report a 46-year-old resident of West Nipissing is facing charges of flight from police and dangerous operation.
Manitoulin OPP says an abandoned vehicle, located around 4 am on Friday, on Highway 17 near Sables-Spanish Rivers Township was involved in a fail-to-stop incident in West Nipissing earlier that night.
A short time later, police say they received a call about a suspicious person in the area, who fled on foot into a wooded area – but was located safely by several police units including the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit.
The accused has a Nov. 29th court appearance in North Bay.
