The Espanola Royal Canadian Legion Branch #39 is supporting youth in the community by making a donation to a local school’s playground campaign.
Sacred Heart/La Renaissance principals, Syndy Withers and France Ducharme accepted a cheque for $1,000 from Legion President Gary McPherson on Monday morning to go towards the joint school’s playground equipment campaign.
The money will go towards furbishing green space on the school property with playground structures and trees.
