There could soon be an end to license plate stickers in Ontario.
CTV reports the Ford government will introduce legislation soon that would eliminate the annual 120-dollar cost to keep your plate current.
You’d still have to register each year but it would be free.
The cost to the provincial treasury would be about one-billion dollars a year.

Sources say the change would go into effect as of February 28th the deadline for renewing plate stickers that lapsed during the pandemic.
Those who have already paid for their new stickers would get a refund.
