Algoma Public Health will now be focusing on protecting the most vulnerable. The health unit says it will do that by focusing case management on the highest risk settings, including long-term care and retirement homes, hospitals, clinics, and other health care settings at the agency’s discretion.
The agency says other general workplaces, schools, and daycares are not designated as the highest risk settings.
Since March 17, 2020, when they announced the first case of COVID-19 in Algoma, the health unit issued public service messages announcing all positive cases of COVID-19.
However, as of today, that will no longer continue to do so although updates on other aspects of COVID19 will be provided on the dashboard, which is updated Monday to Sunday by 3:30 pm.
All information is also updated on THE website under the status of cases on the Algoma dashboard at www.algomapublichealth.com/
