Increasing housing and supporting established businesses are two key points found in the Elliot Lake Economic Development Strategic Plan.
Manager of Economic Development Steve Antunes provided an overview of the strategies for economic growth to council on Monday night.
Antunes says the plan outlines three phases; working and expanding on what is already available in the city, rebranding and expanding residential capacity, and attracting businesses with residential planning being a vital first step.
Council accepted his report, and the economic development committee will begin working on the details of the plan.
