Recently 30 cyclists and five support personnel participated in the 20th annual Tour de Meldrum (MEL-drum) on Manitoulin Island raising funds for the Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary.
Dale Scott, a retired veterinarian from the Island, organized the event which included riders from Manitoulin, Guelph, Toronto, Huntsville, and Sudbury.
He adds the 200-kilometre ride started in Mindemoya and ended in Meldrum Bay with over $27,000 raised for the auxiliary
