The Tory candidate running in Algoma Manitoulin says the Ring of Fire is a priority for the Conservatives. Jib Turner doubts the same is true of the Liberals. He says the bureaucrat the Liberals appointed to oversee the chromite site a few years ago has never visited the discovery. But Turner says several Tories have been there seven times. He says finance critic Vic Fedeli has visited the site four times, northern development critic Norm Miller has gone up twice while leader Tim Hudak has been to the Ring of Fire once. He adds the Tories would appoint a minister to specifically oversee the Ring of Fire. Turner says the Ring of Fire is part of the Tories one million jobs plan.
