Rainbow District School Board wants input on new education director

The Rainbow District School Board wants to hear from parents and other stakeholders on what they look for in an education director.

Norm Blaseg, who has worked in education for over 35 years, announced earlier this month he is retiring as of August 31st.

Board chair Doreen Dewar says the board has the goal to select the  best person for the leadership role.

She says input is being sought on not only skills and experience, but also how the next director will address the challenges ahead.

Dewar adds the search consultants will review submissions to create the candidate profile, which will then be presented to the board.

Email [email protected] (referencing “Search for Rainbow District School Board Director”) no later than this Friday.
