A Libertarian government would be unlikely to fund a transportation link to the Ring of Fire. That’s the word from Libertarian candidate Richard Hadidian who is running in Algoma Manitoulin. Hadidian says as a rule Libertarians don’t like government handouts and considering the ring of Fire is worth billions, it should not get government subsidies. Hadidian says a Libertarian government would only step in with taxpayers’ money to fund the Ring of Fire if there was absolutely no other solution. But he’s confident the private sector can manage on its own.
