The Espanola Regional Hospital and Health Centre introduced a 50/50 draw to raise funds for the x-ray suite as an alternative to other fundraisers that had to be cancelled due to COVID-19.
The first round was a huge success says hospital publicist Terri Noble with a split of $9,832 for the suite, and the winners, Nick and Sandra Boniakowski (BON-ee-ah-cow-ski).
So far, some $110,000 has been raised towards the $550,000 project.
Noble says the second round will begin today.
