School year begins with staggered starts in Rainbow Schools

The Rainbow District School Board is following through on Education Minister Stephen Lecce’s suggestion that the school year can begin with staggered starts.

The board’s education director Norm Blaseg says staggered starts will be give the board the opportunity to adjust as they gradually open once again for school.

He stresses it will be especially beneficial in the pick-up and drop-off areas, during washroom breaks and lunch periods, as well as getting students used to moving around their school.

Blaseg adds students attending in-school or online will have staggered starts.
