Serpent River First Nation has removed its checkpoints.
Band chief and council decided to remove the checkpoints effective at noon last Friday.
They also remind the community to remain diligent in observing physical distancing, wear a mask when physical distancing standards cannot be met and practice proper handwashing.
Chief and council are recommending members not travel to southern Ontario and to self-isolate for 14 days upon their return if they decide to travel.
They also emphasize they are monitoring the situation closely and if necessary will reinstate the border restrictions in the interest of public safety.
