The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities supports naming Bill Mauro as Ontario’s new municipal affairs minister. FONOM believes Mauro’s northern roots should bode well for Northern Ontario. Mauro is the MPP for Thunder Bay-Atikokan. FONOM hopes Mauro will speak up for northern towns and cities in the Legislature.
