East Algoma OPP hosting provincial recruitment day

Curious about forensics, marine policing, explosives disposal, then an Ontario Provincial Police recruitment day might be of interest.

Everyone, including those especially interested in a career in policing, is invited to an Ontario Provincial Policy provincial recruitment day in Blind River tomorrow.

East Algoma OPP’s ‘Recruitment Ambassador Acting Detective Constable Kaitlyn Good, says the service will be hosting an open house at the detachment on Causley Street in Blind River.
The public will be able to view various OPP vehicles and equipment as well as speak with OPP personnel about policing.

Some of the specialty units will include canine, forensics, explosives and more with the open house running from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm this Saturday.

Acting Detective Constable Good will be on hand to provide recruitment information and insight into career opportunities within the OPP.

Members from the detachment will be providing guided tours of the facilities. Members of the public attending the event are encouraged to park on Leacock Street behind the detachment as the majority of the parking lot will be cordoned off to host the OPP specialty units.
