A retired teacher with Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario is being recognized for her volunteerism.
Micheline Findlay is the recipient of the Sovereign Medal for Volunteering.
The medal recognizes the work people do in a wide area.
In the case of Findlay, she’s getting the Sovereign Medal for her work with not only her school and church but also the Relay for Life.

She’s also been involved with numerous fundraising drives and is now involved in creating a partnership between a school in the region and a school in Kenya.
