A long-time principal with the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board has announced her retirement.
Donna Carricato is calling it a day after 40 years as an educator.
Over the decades Carricato has been a teacher, music consultant, family life consultant and vice principal.
She was the principal at several of the Catholic board’s schools including St. Ann and St. Francis French immersion.

Carricato may be leaving the board, it’s not the end of her education career.
She’s accepted a position as faculty advisor at Nipissing University in North Bay.
