A 62-year-old man from the Ottawa suburb of Orléans was found dead in Whiskey Lake, about 50 kilometres north of Massey.
OPP says a canoeist found the body near an abandoned boat Wednesday morning.
The body was recovered by OPP officers and identified as John Meilleur.
An investigation is ongoing and an autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
