The Chi-Cheemaun ferry has begun its summer crossings from the Bruce Peninsula to Manitoulin Island.
The inaugural 2018 crossing of the Chi-Cheemaun took place last Friday, May 4.
Owen Sound Transportation Company customer and media relations manager, Kaleena Johnson, says the warmer conditions have led to the ice melt clearing the way for the summer ferry season to begin.
She added fares will stay the same this year, with the exception of a $5 increase to the dinner and concert series cruises.
