The West Nipissing Police Services Board is taking the municipality to court over the decision to switch from municipal policing to the OPP.
Board chairman Barry Bertrand says the board wants the courts to overturn council`s decision.
Bertrand says the board wonders if the switch-over decision was made in the best interest of the community and it`s also questioning the motivations of some councillors.
He says the board believes the process was flawed and unfair plus council didn`t consult with the board or police chief.
