The City of Elliot Lake hopes to bring energy efficient technology to the city’s proposed $41 million multi-recreational sports complex, thanks to a potential partnership with an international energy company.
Samsung Renewable Energy Inc. business development manager Sean Kim and company president Seung-gul K. Lee made a presentation to council Monday night outlining how a partnership would benefit both parties.
The city wants to work on efficiencies, not only for the planned complex, but also other environmentally friendly projects the city is and could be involved in.
Council approved the memorandum of agreement following the presentation.
