A Sudbury man trying to escape the Espanola police is staring at several charges. The 35-year-old was stopped in Espanola while police investigated suspicious activity. They tried arresting the man when he wouldn’t identify himself and he managed to drive away. However it was a short pursuit and the man then ran into a bar. Police followed him and there was a brief scuffle before the man was handcuffed. The accused is now charged with flight while being pursued by a peace officer and resisting a peace officer.
