Secondary students in Rainbow Schools are gathering in Sudbury to Stand Up for Youth Mental Health.
Students from Espanola High and Manitoulin Secondary will join their counterparts for the one-day conference at the Centre for Education in Sudbury today.
The conference is the culmination of a ‘Students as Researchers’ initiative implemented by the Board’s Student Senate.
Student Trustee Madeleine Leach Jarrett says the goal of the conference is to end the stigma around mental health and assist students who need help.
The conference will include presentations from Public Health Sudbury & Districts, the Greater Sudbury Police Service and the Mental Health Lead for the board.
