The City of Elliot Lake is hoping to connect with Ontario Northland busing by adding a shuttle service.
Economic development coordinator Ashten Vlahovich, (VLA-HOE-VICH) told council there could be money available from the province to help pay for a Sunday transit service to provide transportation between the city and expanded Ontario Northland service on Highway 17.
She says Ontario Northland’s new northern service has a stop in Spragge, but with no shuttle service from the city, some residents might find it difficult to make use of it.
Councillors like the idea and Vlahovich is expected to bring more information to council in the near future.
