Municipalities throughout the Moose listening area have undertaken the 2018 budget process.
Espanola and Elliot Lake are just two local municipalities who passed bylaws in the last week to allow for the continued collection of taxes.
Major projects in Elliot Lake include the landfill, which is approaching full capacity, a multi-use recreational hub and development in the downtown core.
Espanola will be focusing on fire services, a possible transition to OPP with a deadline in March and changes to garbage disposal.
