A regional foundation is hoping to enhance children’s medical care in the North.
Melanie Snyder, the Gifts & Planned Giving Coordinator for the NEO Kids Foundation, says children from Espanola and the North Shore have to travel to Toronto, London or Ottawa for treatment, but Health Sciences North in Sudbury is looking to build a long-term care program in the North.
She adds the foundation is launching a campaign to raise $200,000 with the money going towards the Children’s Treatment Centre, out-patient clinics, equipment and research.
