Students are back in the classroom today at colleges across Ontario, including satellite campuses of Cambrian College in Espanola and Little Current.
Students return to their studies, but will have to cut their Holiday break short to make up for lost time.
The province says students facing financial pressure because of the longer semester will be able to apply for assistance.
The colleges and the union representing faculty failed to reach an agreement and teachers voted overwhelmingly late last week to reject an offer, forcing the government to step in.
The back to work legislation was passed on Sunday.
