Vale employees at the Coleman Mine in Levack are off work this week. The unexpected down time is over safety concerns. CBC says the company is carrying out necessary work in the mine shaft ventilation area. The stoppage affects about 500 employees and because no work is being carried out, the miners are not being paid.
