A slingshot incident has led to charges against a Blind River man.
A week ago today, East Algoma OPP responded to a complaint where a man was hit with a small steel ball on Woodward Avenue in Blind River.
An owner of an apartment building was making repairs to a door when he was hit with a ball bearing and another had missed him hitting his building.
The investigation determined the ball bearings were fired from a slingshot.

The shots came from an apartment across from the complaint’s building where a man was observed near an open window.
Police found a slingshot and ball bearings.
As a result, a 54-year-old from Blind River was charged with mischief under $5,000 and assault with a weapon.
He is to appear in Blind River court on December 7th.
