Elliot Lake Residential Development Commission 2018 plans/budget

Elliot Lake council has approved the 2018 budget and business plan presented by the Elliot Lake Residential Development Commission.

Commission chair, Bruce Lawrence, made a comprehensive presentation to council last night detailing the plans for next year.

Those plans include marketing for three lots, two on Popeye Lake, one on Dunlop Lake, as well as further work to prepare five lots in the new Sugar Bush Heights subdivision.

Lawrence says the road into the Heights is done and they are now waiting for a final report from Hydro One for installation of hard services.

It is estimated hydro work, legal requirements and land acquisition will cost around $250,000 to complete the work.

He added the commission is also looking at working closely with council on Phase Two of the Elliot Lake Waterfront Development Project.

Council approved the 2018 budget estimates and proposed business plan.
